This series describes the structure of the Constitution and how it balances the giving and withholding of powers and rights to the government. Each program features a dramatic episode where constitutional law directly affects teenagers. Award-winning journalist Bill Moyers explains how the Constitution has been interpreted over the years on the issue, and how it has evolved to resolve conflict through changing political, economic, and social situations. In documentary segments, Moyers visits historical sites and displays early documents, photos, lithographs, and political cartoons.
