Join us on April 27th, 2014 at 11 am at Ted Constant Convocation Center, Old Dominion University for The Taste of India.
The Taste of India is one of the largest annually celebrated Asian Indian Festivals in the Commonwealth of Virginia. There will be exciting opportunities to experience Indian food, dances, shopping and art. Each year the event has attracted over 7,000 to 10,000 people. This will be the eight year for the Taste of India Event to be celebrated in our area.
This years theme is “States of India“. Hop on the “Mumbai Express” train and embark on a journey through different states of India. India is unique in that each state has its own traditions, customs, language, attire, music and dance. Come to Taste of India 2014 to experience this incredible diversity for yourself. Each state is a distinct musical note and all these notes together create a beautiful melodious song… India.
In addition, enjoy Indian classical dance, Bollywood dance, fusion, and folk dances like Bhangra and Garba performed by not only residents of Hampton Roads but also competitive collegiate dance teams. You’ll even have the opportunity to see a live yoga demonstration.
